TODMORDEN BORN
From design
to dining.
Born and raised in Todmorden, Frederick's is the culmination of a long-held ambition for Will: to create a destination restaurant and bar in the town he proudly calls home.
Will's career began in his family's builders' merchants, a well-known local business that has served the community for decades. While those early years provided a strong foundation, his passion ultimately led him into the world of design, where he built a successful business creating bespoke interiors and luxury bathrooms for clients across Yorkshire and Cheshire.
With a deep understanding of how thoughtful design shapes experiences, Will brought the same attention to detail, atmosphere and craftsmanship to Frederick's. From the carefully considered interiors to the warm hospitality and seasonal menus, every aspect of the restaurant reflects his vision for a space where people can come together to eat, drink and create lasting memories.
Named after his son, Frederick's opened its doors in 2025, bringing contemporary dining, exceptional hospitality and a vibrant bar to the heart of Todmorden.

Will Howarth
FOUNDER & OWNER
A Todmorden local through and through, Will built his career in bespoke bathroom design before channelling that eye for detail into Frederick's. He's personally invested in every guest's experience.

Freya Priestley
ASSISTANT MANAGER
Freya is one of the friendly faces behind Frederick’s, master cocktail maker, chief problem solver, and always calm under pressure. Whether she’s behind the bar or helping the team through a busy service, she keeps everything running smoothly with a smile.

Ian Crossgrove
GENERAL MANAGER
With a strong background in hospitality management and a passion for exceptional guest service, Ian oversees the day-to-day operations at Frederick's, ensuring every visit is welcoming, seamless, and memorable.
Drawing on years of experience leading successful food-led venues, Ian brings a hands-on approach to team development, service standards, and creating the warm atmosphere that sits at the heart of the Frederick's experience.

Stephan Rawlinson
HEAD PIZZA CHEF
Stephan brings nearly a decade of experience in Italian-focused cooking to Frederick’s, combining traditional techniques with a passion for quality ingredients and wood-fired pizza. A graduate of Accrington & Rossendale College, he joined the team in 2026 and heads up our pizza kitchen with precision, consistency, and plenty of flair.
